Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’ spokesman, Luke Tamborinyoka, has returned to work three months after he nearly lost his life in a car crash.

Tamborinyoka, who started work on Wednesday, told SW Radio Africa he feels much better and well rested following the horror crash in November last year.

The Toyota Prado vehicle that he was driving burst a tyre and rolled four times in Domboshava. The former journalist suffered serious head injuries, broken ribs, a perforated lung and a damaged vein on his left arm. He spent several weeks at the Avenues Clinic.

He thanked his colleagues and friends for their support and said it was good to be back at work.

‘Yes I’ve resumed full time duties…I started yesterday (Wednesday) and I feel fine,’ he said. At the time of the crash, the Premier’s spokesman was travelling with his two brothers, Ngonidzashe and Kelvin, and two uncles Milton and Cleopas. All the passengers escaped with minor injuries.

In his absence veteran journalist William Bango held the fort as the Prime Minister’s acting spokesman.

Welcome back Luke Tamborinyoka, the enemy of the people rejoiced and thought that one more of their opponents is down in this fight. However, they did not know that MD people, are like the sand of the earth, from nowhere was William Bango to hold the fort in your absence. Your return makes their problem worse – they do not know what to do with the situation facing them in the eyes.
