Tsholotsho floods

Flash floods brought by heavy downpours of rain this past weekend left hundreds of villagers homeless in Tsholotsho, Matebeleland North province.

Villagers in the drought stricken district were caught off guard by flood waters that moved at very high speeds and rolled boulders which destroyed homes. No one was killed or injured.

Themba Nkosi our correspondent in Bulawayo said floods in the district have worsened the plight of the starving villagers. The little food they had was swept away by the raging waters from burst dams.
