Goromonzi residents let down by MP Murerwa

A civil servant in Goromonzi has said Member of Parliament for the area and Finance Minister, Herbert Murerwa risks a backlash the next time he campaigns in the area. Speaking to Newsreel on Friday he says consensus is growing that apart from cheating his way into the seat he has done absolutely nothing for the area.

Residents visiting the Senga and Kubatsirana Clinics at Goromonzi Centre are going back because there are no medicines there. The only tarred roads in the area are those laid down by commercial farmers ages ago and the infrastructure is really bad. People coming for court hearings from Kwa-Juru are now being diverted to Murehwa Growth Point for their trials because of notoriously bad roads.

Apparently the Finance Minister hardly visits his constituency and if he goes, he remains at his large scale commercial farm, far from the madding crowd. Expectations were high in the area that it would be an advantage to have their MP as Finance Minister but as it turns out, people are accusing him of pursuing personal wealth from his position while the constituency grinds to a halt.
