Rural areas cut off from towns as fuel crisis worsens

A legislator with the MDC revealed on Monday that the crippling fuel shortages have literally cut off villagers in rural areas from urban areas.

Moses Mzila-Ndlovu the MP for Bulilima in Matebeleland South province said people in rural areas cannot travel to towns and cities to buy food or seek better medical attention.

He blamed the ruling Zanu (PF) regime for the crisis, saying bad governance has brought the country to it's knees because of a few selfish people who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of twelve million people.

Mzila-Ndlovu added; 'Robert Mugabe should surrender before it's too late. He should resign gracefully with his entire cabinet and apologise to the nation for what they have put us through,'

He said it would be mischievous for the government to say the fuel situation will improve when there is evidence to suggest there is nothing they can do to extricate the country from the disaster.

The outspoken MP advised Mugabe to 'bite the bullet and surrender'
'He has cheated people for 25 years, cheated the MDC on three occasions but he will never cheat the economy'
