infiltrate UK groups

There is mounting concern that a significant number
of state security agents from Zimbabwe are infiltrating groups in
the UK under the pretext of helping asylum seekers or even claiming
asylum themselves. Several meetings have been disrupted by rowdy
elements who claim to be genuine activists. The growing fear is
that Mugabe is sending spies into the UK who will be collecting
information on activists in the country.
Wiz Bishop, an activist based in London, has warned
all asylum seekers in the UK to be careful who they approach for
help. She believes it's important not to divulge personal details
to people whose background is not clearly known.
A weekly activist meeting known as the Forum was
disrupted on Monday when a group of three individuals Nobel Sibanda,
Edward Kambarani and Isaiah Mugobi continuously interjected in discussions
taking place. Sibanda, who heads the United Network of Detained
Zimbabweans, says the allegations are not true and that the other
associations feel threatened by their work.
