Court delays vote recount hearing - yet again

The high court in Harare has deferred until Friday, hearing a legal bid by the MDC to stop a recount of election ballots, set for this weekend.
The postponement, the second in a week, was agreed to by both lawyers for the MDC and the country’s electoral commission after the MDC filed a fresh petition seeking to nullify any new results that may arise from the vote recount.
High court Judge Antonia Guvava said by consent that she was postponing the matter to tomorrow, (Friday).
The MDC, and most people around the world now, believe the recount is designed to reverse the outcome of the legislative elections.
The Zanu-PF party, which lost its majority in parliament in the March 29 poll, claimed some ZEC officers were bribed to count votes in favour of the opposition.
The MDC insists that any changes to the declared results will be unlawful.
