| Gerry Jackson plays 'grown up' music |
There is some music that is just impossible to categorise, so we'll just call this latest hour of superbly produced, interesting music 'Grown Up' music. You must be grown up if you listen to JJ Cale, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jackson Brown, Steely Dan, Richard Marx, Little Feat, Long John Baldry, and not forgetting Portishead and the iconic Mr. Bob Dylan (don't miss his mind expanding bit of poetry dedicated to Woody Guthrie). People who are not grown up are also allowed to listen.
For over 12 years Gerry produced and presenter the popular 'classic rock' program on ZBC's Radio 3. As the founder and station manager of SW Radio Africa, she's now presenting a twice monthly on-line music program, which is also available as a podcast.

| Welcome to the Dance Zone with DJ Peter Johns |
 |
Peter Johns has been collecting music and Djing for more years than he probably cares to remember. In 1980 he began a weekend residency at the nightclub Scamps, with his mobile disco business running parallel , and in 1981 he joined ZBC Radio 3 . Through his connections in the UK and US he was exposed to emerging trends in music which enabled him to build on his ever-growing music collection. Incorporating international music with local proved to be a great recipe, boosted his radio shows and led to Monday Mellow Madness, UK Top 40, Hit-Pick etc
In 2002, restructuring and changes in policy left him with no choice but to leave the radio station he had served for a great many years . |

John Matinde is getting all Nostalgic
|
Asked how long he has been involved in broadcasting, John Matinde says, "I have been doing this business longer than I haven't ! " Does that make him special? " No, what it shows is that if you stick around long enough, then anything is possible!" If the truth be told music was his first love from a very early age, and though he thought he would one day be a musician, a broadcasting offer with ZBC in his late teens, sealed his fate. For a number of years he was head of ZBC Radio 3, where he worked with Peter Johns and Gerry Jackson. He insists that he has been allowed to indulge his media passion by the 'tolerant' public and says : "Hero-makers are greater than heroes!"

Afritude Problem
Henry Makiwa needs help! He’s got an Attitude problem, sorry we mean Afritude Problem! He simply can’t enjoy anything but African hip-hop. |
Henry’s latest show is politically charged, examining the thoughts of some of our finest poets and emcees on issues of independence, exile, Hondo yeMinda and even Green Bombers!
Artists featured in the second chapter of the show include the Zubz Tha Last Letta, Metaphysics, Mau Mau, Jah Seed, Nota Murenga and Kudakwashe “B.Sun” Musasiwa.
On Afritude Problem, Henry brings you the lyrics and rhythms of hip hopers emerging from the “underground scene”. Raw, rigid and rough; with no sacred cows, no apologies and no regrets, this show is a coup d’tat!
