Tererai talks to Thabani Nyoni from the Crisis Coalition and Cephas Zinhumwe from the National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations, about threats leveled by Mines Minister Obert Mpofu at groups that monitor Zimbabwe’s diamond industry. At a breakfast meeting on Wednesday Mpofu and the AG Johannes Tomana accused CSOs of “peddling falsehoods” and “malicious reports,” and threatened to prosecute them. Both Nyoni and Zinhumwe said they take the threats seriously but insisted they would continue to hold government accountable.
