Zimbabwe We Can’ Press Release

‘Zimbabwe We Can’ Press Release – 31st January 2012

CORRECTIONS TO ZIMEYE ARTICLE

An article by Zimeye insinuating that the President of the Zimbabwe We Can movement (ZWC) Mr Ephraim Tapa was ‘fired from his own party’ has come to our attention. ZWC is not only shocked but appalled by this grossly misleading and malicious article. It would appear this is part of a wider campaign to hurt the person of Mr Ephraim Tapa and to derail ZWC.

Firstly, ZWC is not a political party but a Global Movement that seeks to unite the people of Zimbabwe, abroad and at home, and to galvanise them into being the change they want, in other words, taking full responsibility for the Zimbabwe situation.

Secondly, the Movement was founded, not by one individual, but by a cross section of genuinely concerned men and women of Zimbabwe. All those who subscribe to the values and objects of the Movement have access to its ownership.

Thirdly, the Zimbabwe We Can Founding President, Mr Ephraim Tapa, to this day and for the foreseeable future, is still the leader and President of the Movement.

Any statements by anyone suggesting otherwise must be dismissed with the contempt they deserve. Comments in the article attributed to one member of ZWC were not sanctioned by the organisation and are therefore not representative of the organisation but his own personal views.
